About 1856, the residents of the section in which Christian Over had settled converted the Joe Slaugenhaupt barn into a place of worship. Several denominations -- the Reformed, Methodist, Lutheran, and Catholic families -- worshiped here. Baptisms/Birth dates begin 1817 but are not complete and continue through 1929; Church members and Communions begin c1867-1928; Marriages show one for 1837, then 1886-1922; Deaths contain one each for 1845, 1854 and 1862, then 1888 forward.
