I made a trip from Indiana to Clarion and Mercer Counties earlier this month and had a terrific time exploring towns and roads, etc., and visiting a few libraries. I met some of my distant cousins at a reunion they were having in the Cook Forest area, and I collected some names and addresses from phone books and talking to friendly people to give me much to follow up on when I can. I even found my greatgrandparents graves at a cemetery in Tylersburg as well as graves of 2 of my grandfathers siblings. I plan to return to the Clarion County area as soon as I can and am especially interested in Leeper, where my gr-grandparents lived. My immediate family, including my father, Henry Mays (dec. 1993), has known virtually nothing about our Mays heritage. I am trying to change that and am enjoying finding sites like this that greatly help the process.
