Research Trip - Festivals & Celebrations PDF Print E-mail

Several local festivals are held in the county each year.  Each gives visitors a true taste of local charm and culture.

  • The week-long Autumn Leaf Festival, held each October, is Western Pennsylvania's largest.
  • The Clarion County Fair is an annual event.  Click here for information about Pennsylvania Fairs & Festivals.
  • The Clarion County Historical Society hosts annual festivals in June, August, September, and November.
  • Local communities hold regular fund-raisers for their Volunteer Fire Departments.  One of my personal favorites is Callensburg's, held the last weekend of July each year, and which includes a town-wide yardsale!  I've been able to purchase some great local items (bottles from the glass works, books, even a local dairy's milk can!) for reasonable prices.
